It is a consulting engineering firm with experienced and licensed professional engineers on staff – including a Ph.D. Fire Protection expert, Dr. Richard Pehrson, a former Deputy Fire Marshal with the State of Minnesota. FFCDI is a member of the American Counsel of Consulting Engineers (ACEC) and is also a registered sprinkler system Design Contractor in the State of Minnesota. FFCDI’s strategic alliance with one of the nation’s leading Fire Scientists, Dr. Robert Schroeder of Schroeder Fire, puts it among the leading fire protection consulting firms in the region.
The FFCDI staff offers Fire Protection and Life Safety professionals with more than 100 years of combined direct knowledge and experience. Comprised of registered fire protection engineers, and professionals holding National Institute for Certification of Engineering Technologies (NICET) Level III and IV certification and a state contractor license, it also maintains active memberships in the National Fire Protection Association, the Society of Fire Protection Engineers, and the National Fire Sprinkler Association.
